Kāpalama |
Kapālama is the home of the first Kamehameha Schools. It is the goal of the Kamehameha Schools to provide their students with the resources and knowledge they need to be successful in the real world. In addition, They strive to provide students with the opportunity to connect to, and perpetuate their Hawaiian culture.
The Kamehameha Schools is only a small part of Kapālama, it is an large space which is filled with other life forces. The mountain Kamehameha Schools rest upon has great mana (power), as does many other mountains standing next to it. Each mountain holds some sort of importance. Everything created has importance. |
Campus Overview
Kamehameha schools sits upon 600 acres of land, it houses three campuses, from Elementary to High School, in its Kapalama location. I have been lucky enough to grow with this campus from middle school. Kapalama holds great value as the flagship school, as they have a total of three campuses, and the only campus which has a boarding program. Everything about the school was created meticulously and with purpose. The architecture reflects a story, while the building names reflects the character of the Ali'i it was taken from. This campus flourishes with life and provides its students with the ability to create a flourishing life of their own.
CommunityCommunity is a sense of fellowship or common interests which bring others together. It has the ability to create a bond between individuals who are different or alike.
